Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer housing ministry with Christian roots, which draws together people of all faiths and backgrounds to build decent, affordable homes with low-income families.

Habitat seeks to make shelter for all a matter of conscience for all.

Habitat for Humanity Santa Cruz County is affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International. Our affiliate builds houses using contributions and volunteer labor. The families selected for our housing program, provide 500 hours of work during construction (sweat equity). They also pay a no-interest mortgage. The funds from the mortgage payments are used to build more homes.
