Habitat Happenings

The Foundation Has Been Poured

Thanks to over fifty volunteers, the foundation has been poured on Blake Lane. Now we are ready to build, up. Thanks too to Roberta Pruitt for feeding our hungry crew. Happy New Year!
Habitat Scores Big with New Project!

Partner families begin construction of their homes on Blake Lane in Scotts Valley

Earlier this summer the County of Santa Cruz offered a 1 acre parcel of land to Habitat for Humanity Santa Cruz County as part of the dissolution of the assets of the Redevelopment Agency. Escrow closed on the property and Habitat became the proud owner of 1 acre of residentially zoned land on Rodriguez Street in Live Oak.  As part of the “package,” the County has also allocated $900,000 in funds for costs associated with obtaining all planning and entitlement permits for the project and infrastructure improvements.  Habitat plans to build six single family residences in the next five years.
