Our Completed Projects
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans home completed on Belvedere Terrace, Santa Cruz, CA.
One of two town homes was completed in January of 2008 in partnership with Thrivent for Lutherans. The construction of the home on Belvedere Terrace is the result of an alliance between Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity International that was announced in September, 2005. While Thrivent Financial has long been a supporter of Habitat for Humanity, the September alliance represents the largest single financial pledge in the history of either organization. Thrivent's four-year, $125-million commitment to Habitat includes plans to help construct hundreds of homes across the country each year, to engage 500,000 volunteers in Habitat for Humanity builds, to promote short-term Habitat home-building trips abroad, to provide large grants to measurably improve substandard housing in specific neighborhoods, and to supplement financial donations from Thrivent Financial's nearly three million members to Habitat for Humanity International.
